Closewitz

The village north west of Jena is situated on a highland. It is between the forest at the slope and the fields on the plateau.
Closewitz is most famous for the blossom of the Flowers Winterlinge in early spring. For this occasion every year the inhabitants celebrate their local Winterlinge-Festival with self-made cake.
The church does not have a tower but it is worth visiting anyway.
